This stage 17 NB 7-1 clone is in T1 The motoneuronal branch exiting SNd is visible to the right. NB 7-1 generates the largest of all clones, including as many as 40 cells. It generates 6-8 motoneurons and a large number of local interneurons as well as some glia. The NB 7-1 clone is another example of a medially migrating cell that appears to act in pioneering the commissures for lineally related cells; in the case of NB 7-1, the medially migrating cell(s) is the well-described f(pCC).That cell is easily seen in these movies. |

NB 7-4:
Four ways to view the same clones
upper left panel is a confocal z-series of DiI labeled clone; sections are 1.5 microns. upper right panel is a projection of z-series, rotated 45 degrees about y-axis. DiI alone. lower left panel is a confocal z-series of DiI-labeled clone in en-GFP background. lower right panel is a projection of the z-series, rotated 45 degrees about y-axis. DiI with en-GFP.
In all cases, anterior is up. |
