NB 7-1 generates the largest clone in the CNS, producing 40 cells or more. It generates the U motoneurons that innerbate almost half of the larval body wall musculature and a cluster of local interneurons. It also generates the putative Segment Boundary Cell.
These movies are stereo images of NB 7-1 clones. A thoracic clone is on the left and an abdominal clone is on the right. 3D glasses will enhance the stereo optics, but we find that most viewers can see the three dimensionality at this magnification without the assistance of the glasses.
