NB 2-4 generates a single contralaterally projecting motoneuron that innervates muscle 8 by a novel synapse. It also generates a cluster of local interneurons and the only truly bi-polar cell of the Drosophila embryonic CNS.
These movies are stereo images of NB 2-4 clones. A thoracic clone is in the top panel, and an abdominal clone is in the bottom panel. 3D glasses will enhance the stereo optics, but we find that most viewers can see the three dimensionality at this magnification without the assistance of the glasses.
