NB 2-2 generates motoneurons innervating muscles 21,22,23 as well as intersegmental and local interneurons. In these movies, there is a NB 6-2 in an abdominal segment anteriorly, with a NB 2-2 movie in the next adjacent segment posteriorly. Anterior to the NB 6-2 clone (in T3) is an MP2 clone.
MP2 in T3, NB 6-2 in A1 and NB 2-2 in A2. An epidermal clone is seen laterally to the right and it is not clear that it derives from the same labeling that labeled the NB 2-2 clone. These clones are at stage 16; intersegmental interneurons have not yet extended axons past boundary borders in either the NB 6-2 clone nor in the NB 2-2 clone. Four ways to view the same clones 2-2 clone): upper left panel is a confocal z-series of DiI labeled clone; sections are 1.5 microns. The movie begins at the dorsal surface of this z-series. upper right panel is a projection of z-series, rotated 45 degrees about y-axis.
