The clone derived from NB 4-1 is similar to the one derived from NB 6-1 at primary neurite outgrowth ( late stage 15)
NB 4-1 and NB 6-1 appear very similar at stage 16. Each generates a primary neurite that crosses the midline and bifurcates in the contralateral longitudinal connective. Four ways to view the same clones: upper left panel is a confocal z-series of DiI labeled clone; sections are 1.5 microns. upper right panel is a projection of z-series, rotated 45 degrees about y-axis. DiI alone. lower left panel is a confocal z-series of DiI-labeled clone in en-GFP background. lower right panel is a projection of the z-series, rotated 45 degrees about y-axis. DiI with en-GFP. In all cases, anterior is up.
