The NB 6-1 clone is anterior in T1 and a NB 3-1 clone is in T2, just posterior to it.

Note that contralaterally projecting intersegmental interneurons do not form in this mature NB 6-1 clone, but it does extend a motoraxon, apparently via the posterior root of the ISN. We never visualized the targets of this motoneuron.

Thoracic NB 6-1 clone:

Four ways to view clone:

upper left panel is a confocal z-series of DiI labeled clone; sections are 1.5 microns.

upper right panel is a projection of z-series, rotated 45 degrees about y-axis. DiI alone.

lower left panel is a confocal z-series of DiI-labeled clone in en-GFP background.

lower right panel is a projection of the z-series, rotated 45 degrees about y-axis. DiI with en-GFP.

In all cases, anterior is up.
