NB 1-3

 

NB 1-3 was identified by the Technau lab as a huckebein-positive NB in an extremely lateral position in the hemisegment.

They describe it as producing 3-4 contralaterally projecting motoneurons as well as a glial subclone. We speculate that the clone is more likely to be entirely glial, although we have not generated the clone in the numbers that they have, nor have we identified it in the hemisegment during identifications. More definitive analysis of the clone will require greater numbers of labelings and a more thorough characterization of the cells produced.
